This site exists because I wanted a place that reflects how I think about infrastructure.

Simple

Infrastructure should be simple. Not easy — simple. A well-configured BGP peer has maybe six lines of config. A Linux box running your critical service has zero unnecessary packages. Complexity is the enemy of reliability, and reliability is the whole job.

Owned

You should own your infrastructure. Not necessarily own the hardware — but own the decision. Cloud is a tool, not a destination. When you can’t leave, you’re not hosting — you’re hosted.

Boring

“Boring” is the highest compliment in infrastructure. Boring means no surprises. Boring means you slept through the night. Boring means the dashboards are flat and the pager didn’t fire.

The best engineering doesn’t feel like engineering at all. It just works.

More to come. For now: build simple, own your decisions, and aim for boring.
